William's Story
Born in Birmingham Al the day Elvis turned 12. Moved to Homestead in Aug 1961. Left Florida in '64 and went to school in Alabama for a year then on to the Air Force Academy in Colorado. Graduated in '69. After pilot training went to Viet Nam, back to Texas, Virginia (Hampton), Hawaii, Japan, Hawaii, Virginia (Pentagon) - with several stops along the way for training of various sorts.
Met my wife to be, Junelea, in Viet Nam where she worked for the Red Cross. We got married on Dec 18, '71. Along the way we had three kids (...Expand for more
2 boys and a girl). Junelea has probably the world's best laugh and is way too good of a cook for my waistline. Pretty good dancer too. At least she can follow me.
Left the Air Force in 1993 and worked as a government contractor for 18 years till I was laid off.
After 31 years in Virginia we discovered 2 of our children & 3 g'kids were in Tx. We relocated in 2017 to Boyd, Tx, just NW of Fort Worth
We have 5 grandchildren now from 1 to 15 years old.
Staying busy & trying to stay healthy, but getting old ain't for sissies.
